Welcome to Lightgliders

Hey there! Welcome to Lightgliders. My name is Kwan, and it’s my job to make sure you’re outfitted, trained, and ready for action. And that starts with you learning just what a Lightglider is!

Lightgliders are defenders of good, a force of kids just like you that shine in the darkness and help out those in need. Right now, the land of Glideon is in need!

For unknown reasons, a mysterious gooey substance called blight is spreading all over the land. At the same time, strange Machines have appeared and are kidnapping lovable creatures called the Gliddles! It’s up to us to clear away the blight and rescue the Gliddles from the Machines!

Being a Lightglider is a purposeful adventure. As you play, you will have opportunities to learn about the greatest adventure of all - to know, grow in, and show God’s love revealed to us in the Bible.

If you are here on a computer, click “Enter Lightglider Academy” to access the full Lightgliders experience. You’ll battle Machines, rescue Gliddles, clear blight, meet other Lightgliders, and much more.  

If you are here on a mobile device, play minigames, watch videos, create postcards, and read messages. As you do, you will build up light to use on your missions to the Yonders! Everything is color-coded, so make sure you learn what the colors mean. Let me try to help!

Everything in Purple is a Game. There are lots of games to play inside Lightgliders.

Everything in Green is a Spark. These are short video stories that help us learn an important lesson from the Bible.

Everything in Orange is a Prayer. These are short prayer videos to do on your own or with a family member. 

Everything in Pink is a Postcard. Customize these and send them to your friends!

Everything in Red is a Message. These are articles about Lightgliders gameplay, the weekly lessons, Bible studies, and more. (Fun fact: You are currently reading one!)

Everything in Blue is LGTV.  These are gameplay videos to encourage learning and laughter.

In time, you’ll learn more than just skills for battle and adventure. You’ll learn about the Far Greater Story found in the Bible, the story about the God who loves you more than you could possibly imagine.  As Lightgliders, we seek to RESPECT, RESCUE, and RESTORE every day because that is what God has done and is doing for us, in us, and through us.  You were made to use what He has given you to help a world in need.  You were made to shine!

Flooded Bunker

Bryce here! Good job in the previous Bunker! You’re becoming a tremendous Lightglider. I have another mission for you. We’ve found another Bunker that creates Machines, this time underneath the big lake in the Yonders. The Machines there will be alerted to your presence, so stay sharp! Remember, different Gliddles are better at battling some Machines than others, so pay attention to the colors of the Machines and your Gliddles! Right-click to swap your active Gliddle!

Orange Gliddles are better in one-on-one battles…

...and Yellow Gliddles are great for taking on a crowd!

We’ve found strange energy signatures from the cell blocks! Could there be something hidden inside?

Treehouses

Hi there! Santiago here. Isn’t it so cool that we have Treehouses at the Academy? You can buy decorations for them at Tree Mart! Click and drag the decorations onto the Treehouse. You can only place them where the blue area shows! 

As you rescue Gliddles in the Yonders, you can unlock more decks in your Treehouse! Purchase them with Gems. It’ll increase your RES and give you a whole new space to decorate!

Click on other Lightgliders and click Visit Treehouse to see how they’ve decorated! I think my Treehouse is pretty cool. Click the Friends icon and visit my Treehouse to see for yourself!

Theme This Week: FAITHFULNESS

Hey Lightgliders!

The word “faithful” means to be true to one’s word and promises. Faithfulness is a character quality of God’s that we, as His children, can reflect. God has been, and will always be, fully faithful to His promises that we read about in the Bible. 

Because He is faithful, we too are called to be faithful. When we tell someone we are going to do something, we follow through. When we are gifted with a specific ability, we are faithful to exercise that gift for God’s glory. As we continue to be faithful, God’s character will be on display through us! Can you think of examples of faithfulness?

Here are a few that I thought of when I am in the Academy:

• Taking care of and decorating my Treehouse so that the Gliddles you rescue have a beautiful place to live

• Using Boosts on other Lightgliders to help them on their Yonders missions

• Partnering with the Gliddles to battle the Machines more effectively

And here are a few for when I am in my home:

• Doing what my parents ask of me

• Taking my studies seriously

• Using my words to encourage others

Theme This Week: MOTIVATED BY LOVE

Hey Lightgliders!

Have you ever wondered why you do the things that you do? I was recently challenged to stop and consider the motivation of my heart in my words and actions. Wow, was this tough! It’s amazing how many of my daily decisions are motivated by my selfishness. I choose to do what I want to do. I spend my time how I want to spend my time. Sometimes I do nice things for others just so I can look good to those around me. Sometimes I get annoyed with people and say things out of anger. Every once in awhile I do something out of genuine love for others. I am learning that the more I think about God’s character and love for me, the more I am motivated to love others. I really want to do things each day because my heart is filled with love. I’m not there yet!

Pray and ask God to make the motivation of your heart be love. And pray this for me too!

Timberlands Camp

Welcome back, Lightglider! I have another mission for you! You’re heading to a strange camp in the Timberlands. This mysterious place has pools, gardens, trees...it might be beautiful, if it weren’t for all the blight there! Help rescue the Gliddles by restoring the land and the trees in the area. Make sure to be strategic with your RES--only grab RES orbs when you have already used a lot of RES!

Our sensors show that there’s a secret area around the Camp. Maybe you can enter the buildings from somewhere?

Hey Lightgliders!

Our world operates at a fast pace. We wake up, eat breakfast, go to school, come home, do homework, eat dinner, go to bed, and repeat it all the next day. If we’re not careful, our schedules can quickly control our entire lives. 

In this week’s theme verse, Psalm 46:10, God is telling us to be still before Him. Why? Because slowing down and being still allows a couple of things to happen. First, we have the opportunity to remember all that God has done for us. Second, we are reminded that He is in control and not us! Being still before God and taking time to reflect on His goodness is good for our soul. God knows this!

Please take note -- it is the Christmas season! The Lightglider leaders decorated the Courtyard in the Academy just for you!

Lightgliders! It’s Tambika. You’ve been selected to scout out a new area of the Yonders. Dodge the Machines and blight and grab the coins you find there! Tap to jump up to two times in a row, and grab the powerups to get boosts to your speed, jump height, and armor! How deep into the Yonders will you be able to go?

Theme This Week: PRAYER

Hey Lightgliders!

The theme this week inside Lightgliders is PRAYER. Prayer simply means talking with God. The primary goal of prayer is intimacy with the One who made us! God loves when we talk with Him about our lives, thank Him for the good things He has given us, and ask Him for help. Prayer doesn’t have to be long and full of big words for it to matter. Prayer is telling God what is on your mind and heart. Our theme verse this week tells us to always be praying. We can always stay connected to the One who loves us so much.

Game Tips!

Hover Frenzy

It’s madness on the hoverboard assembly floor! With so many Lightgliders that need new hoverboards, production is trying to keep up! Help keep assembly on track by catching the falling hoverboards and putting them on the conveyor belt before they all fall to the ground. Purple hoverboards are worth more points, so be sure to grab those when you can! Watch out though, you can’t carry too many!
