Lightgliders Privacy Policy
1. Overview
Lightgliders is a Christian digital kids ministry owned and operated by Made to Shine, Inc. (“Lightgliders,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to providing a safe and positive online environment for kids and to protecting the privacy of children and families who use our Service.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Lightgliders collects through the Service, how we use and disclose that information, how we protect it, and the choices available to parents, Account Owners, Users, and others who interact with Lightgliders.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Lightgliders Service, including Lightgliders.com, the Lightgliders web and mobile applications, games, multiplayer and community features, Subscription services, and other Content or services operated by Lightgliders.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into the Lightgliders Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings provided in the Terms of Service.
2. Eligibility
The Service is intended for children and families, subject to the eligibility and consent requirements described in the Lightgliders Terms of Service. Users under 18 years of age may use the Service only with the authorization of a parent, legal guardian, or authorized Group Leader as provided in the Terms.
Additional requirements apply to the collection of personal information from children under 13, as described in the Children’s Privacy section below.
3. Children’s Privacy
Lightgliders is designed for children, families, groups, and ministries, and protecting children’s privacy is especially important to us.
For registered accounts involving a User under the age of 13, Lightgliders requires parental or legal guardian consent before collecting personal information from the child, except where collection without prior consent is permitted by applicable law.
Depending on how a child uses the Service, personal information collected from or about the child may include User profile information, usernames, saved game progress and activity, communications and Submissions made through community features, and certain technical and usage information such as IP address, device or application information, and identifiers used to operate, secure, and maintain the Service.
Lightgliders takes steps designed to:
- provide parents and legal guardians notice regarding the information we collect from children and how we use or disclose it;
- obtain verifiable parental consent when required by applicable law;
- collect only information reasonably necessary for a child to participate in the applicable features of the Service;
- give parents the ability to review or request deletion of personal information collected from their children;
- allow parents to withdraw consent and prevent further collection or use of their children’s personal information; and
- retain children’s personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
A parent or legal guardian who wishes to review, correct, or delete a child’s personal information, or withdraw consent to further collection or use, may contact us using the information provided in Section 15 below.
Lightgliders may take reasonable steps to verify that a person making such a request is the child’s parent or legal guardian.
4. Information We Collect
The information Lightgliders collects depends on how you use the Service.
A. Guest Users
Guest Users may access limited portions of Lightgliders without creating a saved account or User profile.
Guest Users do not provide an email address or create a persistent Lightgliders username as part of Guest Access, and Guest progress is not saved between sessions.
Lightgliders may nevertheless automatically receive limited technical or usage information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service, such as device type, browser or operating-system information, IP address, session information, error or crash data, and information regarding how the Service is used.
B. Account Owners and Registered Users
When an Account Owner creates or manages an account, Lightgliders may collect Registration Data such as:
- the Account Owner’s email address;
- account and authentication information;
- User profile information necessary to provide the Service;
- usernames created for Users;
- Subscription and account-management information;
- parental consent or authorization information, where required; and
- information voluntarily provided when communicating with Lightgliders.
Lightgliders does not require Users to include their real names, email addresses, telephone numbers, home addresses, or other personally identifying information in their Lightgliders usernames.
C. Subscription and Payment Information
If an Account Owner begins a free trial or purchases a Subscription, Lightgliders and its third-party payment providers may collect and process information necessary to administer the transaction, such as the Subscription selected, transaction history, billing information, and payment status. Payment-card information may be collected and processed directly by our payment providers. Lightgliders may receive limited information about the transaction, such as payment status, Subscription type, transaction identifiers, and portions of billing information, but does not receive or store complete payment-card information.
D. Community Features and Submissions
Lightgliders includes moderated community features.
Guest Users may interact using pre-constructed phrases and emotes and may view certain Safe Chat communications. Subscribers may use additional Safe Chat functionality that permits communication using words and phrases from a pre-selected and moderated list.
Lightgliders may collect, process, monitor, and retain communications, Submissions, activity, and related information as reasonably necessary to operate and moderate these features, enforce the Terms and Code of Conduct, investigate reports, protect Users, and maintain the safety and integrity of the Service.
E. Promotions, Surveys, and Feedback
From time to time, Lightgliders may offer promotions, contests, surveys, or opportunities to provide feedback. If you choose to participate, we may collect information reasonably necessary to administer the promotion or survey, respond to feedback, or improve the Service. If personal information will be disclosed to a third party in connection with a promotion, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.
F. Information Collected Automatically
When the Service is used, Lightgliders and its service providers may automatically collect information such as:
- IP address;
- device type and operating system;
- browser or application information;
- session and usage information;
- pages, games, or features accessed;
- dates and times of access;
- crash, diagnostic, and performance information; and
- identifiers necessary to authenticate Users, maintain sessions, protect security, or support operation of the Service.
We use this information for purposes such as operating the Service, authenticating Users, maintaining security, troubleshooting technical issues, understanding Service performance, and improving Lightgliders.
5. How We Use Information
Lightgliders may use information collected through the Service to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- create and administer accounts and User profiles;
- provide Guest Access and Subscription Content;
- process free trials, Subscriptions, and other transactions;
- authenticate Users and maintain account security;
- provide and moderate community and Safe Chat features;
- enforce the Terms of Service and Code of Conduct;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and other harmful activity;
- respond to customer-service inquiries and provide technical support;
- communicate with Account Owners about accounts, Subscriptions, security, updates, or other administrative matters;
- send promotional or informational communications where permitted by applicable law;
- understand how the Service is used and improve Lightgliders games, Content, features, and experiences;
- comply with legal obligations; and
- protect the rights, safety, and property of Lightgliders, its Users, and others.
We do not require a child to provide more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity.
6. How We Disclose Information
Lightgliders does not sell children’s personal information or use children’s personal information for targeted advertising. Lightgliders may disclose information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers. We may provide information to vendors and service providers that perform functions on our behalf, such as hosting, cloud infrastructure, payment processing, analytics used to operate or improve the Service, email delivery, customer support, security, and moderation. We require service providers that receive children’s personal information to use appropriate safeguards and to handle the information only as authorized and consistent with applicable law.
- App Stores and Payment Providers. Information relating to purchases made through Apple, Google, or another third-party provider may be processed by that provider in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices.
- Legal and Safety Purposes. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process; investigate fraud, illegal activity, abuse, or safety concerns; enforce our Terms; or protect the rights, safety, or property of Lightgliders, our Users, or others.
- Business Transfers. Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, or similar organizational transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections for children’s personal information.
- With Consent. We may disclose information when an Account Owner, parent, legal guardian, or other authorized person has provided consent where required.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Lightgliders may use cookies and similar technologies that are reasonably necessary to operate the Service, maintain sessions, authenticate Users, remember settings, provide security, understand Service performance, and improve functionality.
Where required by applicable law, Lightgliders will obtain appropriate consent before using cookies or similar technologies for purposes requiring such consent.
Lightgliders does not use children’s personal information for behavioral or targeted advertising.
Some browser settings allow Users to block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies that are necessary for Service functionality may prevent portions of Lightgliders from working correctly.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Lightgliders retains personal information, including personal information collected from children, only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing and improving the Service, maintaining accounts and Subscriptions, preserving User progress, protecting Users and the Service, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements.
Account and User profile information, including personal information associated with a child’s User profile and saved progress, may be retained for up to five (5) years after an account becomes inactive so that Users may resume their progress if they return to Lightgliders or resubscribe. After that period, such information will be deleted or de-identified unless continued retention is required by applicable law.
Other information that does not constitute personal information collected online from a child, such as certain Account Owner, transaction, customer-support, legal, accounting, tax, security, or fraud-prevention records, may be retained for different periods as reasonably necessary for those purposes or as required by applicable law.
Personal information collected online from a child will not be retained longer than reasonably necessary for the specific purpose for which it was collected and will not be retained indefinitely. When such information is no longer reasonably necessary, Lightgliders will delete it using reasonable measures designed to protect against unauthorized access or use.
A parent or legal guardian may also request deletion of personal information collected from their child as described in Section 9 (Parental Rights and Choices).
9. Parental Rights and Choices
Certain account and profile information may be reviewed or updated by an Account Owner through the account-management features of the Service. In addition, a parent or legal guardian may contact Lightgliders to:
- review personal information collected from their child;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of their child’s personal information;
- withdraw previously provided consent;
- refuse further collection or use of their child’s personal information; or
- ask questions about Lightgliders’ privacy practices.
Lightgliders may take reasonable steps to verify the identity and authority of the person making the request before providing access to or deleting a child’s information. Withdrawal of consent may result in termination or limitation of access to portions of the Service where the information is reasonably necessary to provide those features.
10. Communications and Marketing Choices
Account Owners may receive transactional, administrative, security, and Service-related communications from Lightgliders. Lightgliders may also send promotional or informational communications where permitted by applicable law. You may opt out of promotional email communications by following the unsubscribe instructions contained in those communications or by contacting Lightgliders. Opting out of promotional communications does not prevent Lightgliders from sending communications reasonably necessary to administer an account, Subscription, security matter, or the Service.
11. Information Security
Lightgliders uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Lightgliders also takes reasonable steps to select service providers capable of maintaining appropriate confidentiality, security, and integrity protections for personal information provided to them. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, however, and Lightgliders cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Service may contain links to websites, applications, or services operated by third parties. Lightgliders does not control those third-party services, and this Privacy Policy does not govern information collected directly by them. We encourage parents and Account Owners to review the applicable privacy policies before using third-party services.
13. International Users
Lightgliders is based in the United States, and information collected through the Service may be processed or stored in the United States and other locations in which Lightgliders or its service providers operate. If you access the Service from outside the United States, applicable law may provide you with additional privacy rights. Lightgliders will honor such rights to the extent required by applicable law.
14. Additional Privacy Rights
Depending on where you reside, applicable law may provide additional rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, or portability of information or to object to or restrict certain processing. Lightgliders will respond to verified privacy requests as required by applicable law.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Lightgliders may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, our information practices, or applicable law.
When we make changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy and update the “Last Updated” date. Where required by applicable law, or where a change materially affects previously disclosed practices regarding children’s personal information, Lightgliders will provide additional notice and obtain additional consent where required.
